| During the national negotiations
of 1999, a Letter of Understanding was derived which formally recognizes
that diversity in the workplace is essential in assuring the success of
Ford Motor Company. This letter, which is dated October 9, 1999, speaks
of establishing a National Joint Diversity Committee (NJDC). This committee
has the responsibility of developing training that would serve to increase
employee awareness and promote constructive dialogue regarding diversity.
Being strived for is an environment, which promotes a culture that encourages every individual to contribute and be a part of making Ford Motor Company more successful and a better place to work. |
