• The spouse and eligible dependent children of an active employee who dies while on the active roll are entitled to utilize the remaining balance up to $5,000 of the employee's tuition assistance eligibility, excluding any advance payment, for college classes towards a degree during a period equal to the length of the present Agreement following the date of the employee's death. |
| • The spouse and eligible dependent children of an employee who dies while on the active roll in a work related incident are entitled to utilize the remaining balance of the employee's tuition assistance eligibility, plus three additional years tuition assistance eligibility. For college classes towards a degree during a period equal to the length of the present agreement following the date of the employee's death.
